Note: The promo plan has been removed from our website; however is still available in the activation portal and in Self-Serve.
We will be honouring the promo plan for all customers who ordered their SIM card between October 25th-November 16th, but did not receive it before November 20th.
Why the November 16th cut-off date you might ask? SIM card orders take 1-2 business days to arrive at your home, and Canada Post does not deliver on the weekends. Knowing that there is a lead time for SIM cards to arrive, we have temporarily stopped SIM card ordering until after the promotion is complete. This is because anyone who would have ordered a SIM card after November 16th would not have received their SIM card in enough time to sign up for the promo plan. We didn’t want anyone to get your hopes up and then be disappointed.
If you get a SIM card at one of our pick-up locations this Friday and Saturday, you will need to sign-up for our promo plan on or before November 20th. The promo plan will not be honoured for these customers after November 20th.

Getting the plan
Pick & Pay Customers
If you are an existing Pick & Pay customer and are interested in taking advantage of the promo plan, you have two options:
This means that everyone has the option to take advantage of this great deal, regardless of when your existing rate plan ends.
Legacy Customers
If you are a legacy customer who is interested in having this promo plan, you will need to call into the call centre and upgrade to the Pick & Pay plan. Please note that, once you switch to a Pick & Pay plan, you will be unable to switch back to your old plan and will lose access to the call centre.
New Customers: You want to join because the grass is really greener over here
As a new customer, you can add the promo plan when you are prompted in the activation process. You will need to have your SIM card in hand in order to activate, so please be sure to order it first!

UPDATE I can see now "everyone has the option to take advantage of this great deal, regardless of when your existing rate plan ends" ... I really should slow down when I read, lol

Sing into https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/
On the overview page, under "My Plan", click on "Change plan"
Select the new promo plan (provincial talk, global text, and 12GB data) and select to "Change on next renewal date" and thats it. You will get the promo plan from your next renewal date.
EDIT: Just verify that your selected plan shows $120 for 90 days of provincial talk, international text and 12GB data before you make the change.

What a way to start my day.
If your plan ends after the promo period: You can future date a rate plan change during the promotional period, and have the promo plan take effect after November 20th. For example, if you’re currently on a 90 day plan that ends on November 28th, you will be able to sign into self-serve anytime between October 25th-November 20th and future date the promo plan to take effect upon your existing plan’s completion. Come November 21st, you would no longer be able to future date the promo plan.
Can someone explain this to me? I just joined PM last week, so I'm still pretty new to things. I might need a step by step instruction on how to take advantage of this promotion. I logged into self-serve but what do I do after that?

By the way, do you know, if I port in my number, do I keep the referrals rewards I had with my old PM number?

I recently moved my dad from WIND to Fido. He lives and works in Brampton, where there is poor WIND Mobile reception in the condo and office buildings. My dad frequently travels to Buffalo, NY, and we need to be able to stay in touch with him.
I understand PM does not currently offer US Roaming. However, is there something that would be coming up in the next month or two that offers US Roaming as an Add-On? I would like to bring my dad over to PM, once I have successfully activated my line.

In this case I think @Brooke_C was using 4G as short for 4GB, not 4th gen, but I can see how it could be confused. And since PM can't guarentee that you will always get LTE (depending on where you are, etc), I think a better clarification would be to just add the B, "Want 4GB data ..."

We don't have any kiosk, however, with our new method of Shipping (Canada expresspost) you will receive your SIM card within 3 days.

I'm totally in for this, as I'm on the current 90day/6GB provincial call, global txt.
As my plan doesn't renew until middle of December, can I be flipped now, so that I'm still paying the same price? Similar to those this past summer who went from 4GB/90 to 6GB/90?
I'm going to setup the plan change for the mid-December renewal anyways, but sooner would certainly be nicer 🙂

Sorry the promo is just this plan with province-wide calling only.
However, its so great that you may even want to consider buying long distance add-ons ($15 for 400 minutes) or use alternative services like fongo or hangout dialer.

But you are right, many carriers including Telus, do show LTE and then seemingly drops down to 4G for H/H+.
Maybe @Brooke_C can have this corrected on the PM homepage so it reads "Want 4G LTE data ..."

I'm glad you clarified that it will be on LTE network. The promo advertisement on PM main page prompted me to clarify, since there is no mention of LTE. As you can see below it states "Want 4G data...". I presume there was a typo?
