Answer |
How long will this plan be in market? |
This is a limited time offer and is subject to change without notice. Please refer to Public Mobile’s Service Terms. Please note that the promotion will not be honoured after it has ended. This includes SIM cards that have been purchased online, are in-transit and not yet activated. |
Will I keep the same plan forever? Will my plan change? |
Please refer to our Terms of Service for more information about our plans. |
I am an existing customer, what is the difference between changing my plan immediately and changing my plan on the next renewal date? |
You may choose to change your plan immediately or on your next renewal date. Here is the difference:
You may choose to change your plan immediately if you have used all or most of your services, if your account is suspended and you would like a different plan, or if you would like to get started right away on the new plan. Here are some things you should know about this option:
On the other hand, you may choose to change your plan on your next renewal date because it allows you to use the services you have already paid for. We recommend this option so your money can go further. Here are some things you should know about this option:

What happens if the “$40 for 4 GB at 3G speed” plan becomes unavailable before my next plan renewal date? |
If you chose to change your plan to “$40 for 4 GB at 3G speed” on the next renewal date and the request has been submitted successfully, you will still switch to “$40 for 4 GB at 3G speed” even if the promotion ends before your renewal date occurs. |

But why if you don't have a need for it. We already had this discussion recently. Donate the money to charity if it's burning a hole in your wallet.
Well, I guess for the same reason most people take lot of data in the first place... I am assuming most people don't *need* lot of data at all, it's more of a convenience...
If I had more data then I would stop looking for wifi passwords in cafes and restaurant, and I would stop turning data off when I don't actively need it, and I would maybe watch more movies or listen to more music online, or I would stop thinking ahead and predownloading maps when leaving home... How much data you are using is a choice you make.
So yeah I could give the money instead, and most people could downgrade and give the money as well 😉
Or for the same reason I sometimes go to the restaurant: I don't need to go, I could give the money instead, but I still enjoy to go. Not sure I understand what you are referring to when you say "We already had this discussion recently"?

This is great, I was on the 500MB/$30 to see if it would work and just ran out of data with a week to go. Was going to buy a 1GB Booster now and switch to 1GB/$35 on next billing date (Jun 22), but instead I just changed to this 4GB/$40 effective immediately I love the flexibility of "next billing date" vs "bill me now".
Thanks for the promo. 3G speeds are just fine for me. 🙂

@stonechucker, if I were you I would keep the fall promo except if you really make lot of calls out of province...

I agree that the $40 plan should have also been available as a 90 day 12 gb for $120. With the 90 day both PM and the customer win. They get paid 90 days in advance and we get the flexibility of a larger data bucket. Changing from my current 90 day 7.5 gb plan, this is still a great promo.

This is great. Just switched my plan!

@sheytoon wrote:@Alan_K, just want to confirm: would auto pay reduce the cost of this plan to $38 / 30 days?
Price is $40 and not $42 in self-serve. So yes, with AutoPay it is $38.

Probably not as it might be too late. But you can try sending a private message to the Moderator_Team.

If you change your plan now, you will have to pay for it first and you will not get any credit for the current service you will lose. Instead, you can have the plan automatically change during your next renewal. Make sure to select "Change on next renewal date" button instead of "Change plan now".

Thanks for letting your users switch so easily - and with the flexible delayed start date...
Thoughtful and appreciated.
Needs change, or what we thought we needed, we may not really need.

What can you do with the extra $20 each month?

@cork99 wrote:i left PM for athat 10 gb plan but only use around4gb
Well welcome back. I was wondering how many people would jump at that great offer. I to considered it but I have the plan that suits me and more than enough data. Couldn't justify paying a little bit more something I wouldn't use. For some it was a great deal as they require the large data buckets.
