Problem solved, I found out when resetting an iPhone there is an option to preserve the eSIM. So iOS erases everything except it keeps the eSIM intact. So that was a relief.

@hTideGnow are you saying I need to wait 15 days in order to not get charged $5? Or that I can do it before 15 days in order to not get charged? Why do I need to pay for a new eSIM, why can't I just reuse the one I already paid for? I don't get this...

Thanks, I wasn't aware of the chat bubble thing on the bottom was used to create a support ticket. I was able to do so. And yes the charge shows up twice on the credit card statement, so it's definitely a mistake.
