A friend is looking for a recommendation on a sub $300 phone. Preferably $250ish.
They would like:
Pm has the a12 for 200$ not sure if this is a deal, the pm S9 is 319 but not sure it's worth it as it's an old phone and probably overpriced.
curious for any suggestions or places to look.
Thanks

A12 used to be just $210 brand new at Samsung.ca, but it is not selling on Samsung site now
If your friend's budget is as much as $300, A32 is definitely a better one,

Yup…I know.

Just FYI....Mobile Klinik is owned by Telus as well...and has a larger variety....but same for same, price is often less on Public Mobile.

Swiftronics is selling the Google Pixel 3xl 64GB for $249+12.50 shipping+gst or thru Amazon.ca for $264+free shipping+gst
I don't know when the A32-5G may be in stock but if you can luck out and get it with a 20× points offer like today it's a bargain with about 110,000 points back ($110) works out to $259. The A52-5G with 212,000 points back works out at $659 - $212 (points back)=$447 see below
Check to ensure you have the 20×points when you spend $50 or more in store or online. The online option does not occur that often. As a result if you purchase the Samsung A52-5G at regular price of $659+tax you will recieve 9885 regular points. But with the 20× offer you will recieve 197,700 bonus points+9,885 regular points+5000 points if you pay with your pc financial MasterCard.
197,700+9,885+5,000=212,585 ($212.58) A52-5G $659 - $212.85=$447.15 (+tax)
During bonus redemption events 200,000 points can be redeemed for $300 in value.

I don’t buy from Bestbuy’s sellers or buy directly from Bestbuy. I like Mobile Klinik because they back it up with a 1 year warranty.

I was going to recommend the same one @BKNS27 🙂
@mimmo See Bestbuy for the Samsung A50, it is an opened box, but meh, that's okay - $211.
Samsung A21 (good phone too) - $249

Edit: sorry I mean the A21s (which I have experience with...not the A21 above (which I am not familiar with ) ) -
$299

Both of your suggested options are nearing their EOL in terms of security updates.

Get the Galaxy A12 ($210), Motorola Moto G Pure ($200) or the OnePlus Nord N200 5G ($320). All three are good budget friendly options.

I would recommend the Samsung A50 ($229) or Google Pixel 3 ($249) at Mobile Klinik.

This hot deals thread is heading toward a one year anniversary and is still very active. A friend bought a couple for the kids during black Friday deal. Very happy so far.
