Black Friday deals - good for consumers

Consumers are coming up as winners, just wish those promoted deals would be permanent.

A friend sent a window poster from a Koodo store:

350 for 20GB data (roll-over if BYOP!) after $20 bill credit for 24 months.  (conditions apply)

What a deal.

Joined Koodo yesterday at Mobile Klink, got the $30 20 GB plan for 24 mos. plus rollover data as my perk and a $100 in-store credit! Easily the best BF deal if you aren't in dire need of a new phone!

Black Friday deals may have been “meh” in retail this year (Walmart, Amazon, etc), but the phone plans have been amazing. Really had to shop around before I chose Public!

I see, that makes sense thank you for confirming.

M’y bad. You are right they still don’t require credit checks for pre pod plans. But the good Black Friday sale plans are postpaid and thus require a credit check.

I didn't know prepaid plans needs credit checks since the money is being paid upfront?

Thats a really nice deal. I just wish the second tier carriers didn’t do credit checks for the prepaid plans.

That's a good price of $20 for 20GB data.  Can anyone get that deal with Koodo although I prefer permanent deals too?

Even if these good deals are temporary, customers can take advantage right away and snap up a plan that best suits their needs.  These days there are really no contracts and so everybody is a free agent at all time.
