1 year with Public Mobile.

Just a couple of days ago marked my first year with Public Mobile ! I have to say it has been an amazing ride ride ! and Ive had no major issues since day one other than a few minor service unrelated issues that the moderators gladly helped me with.

When joining I had multiple questions and all of them were answered by the wonderful community. I activated my SIM and in no time I was up and running after my port from rogers was complete. I was amazed that I was paying such a small for what I was getting.

Let me share with you the rewards ive accumulated and the price I pay after a whole year !

Im on the 25$ plan.

Ive referred almost all my family and friends which total up to 12$, 2$ autopay, 3-5$ community, and my 1$ loyalty reward ! All of this brings my cost down to 5$-7$ a month !

Ive saved a total of 150$ with rewards !

Heres all the addons I have. Keep in mind I haven't purchased a SINGLE addon in my life, these are all freebies. 

As much as I like to argue about Public Mobile I'm still happy where I am and I dont see myself switching in the foreseeable future.

This first year was an awesome experience and I give a HUGE thanks to the community and all the moderators ! Customer support here is outstanding thanks to you guys !

@darlicious Last 6 months I have been sleeping on rewards. Most of those I gathered in the beginning. I think my highscore was 5 refferals in a month !

I remember when I got 2-4 cha-ching messages everyday for a week straight. I thought I hacked the system or something but it turns out it was just a bug lol.

Grrr. I wish it was still available. 10$ plan is the sweet spot for me right now considering I can use data addons if I wanted data. I dont text over SMS much so that's not an issue. 4G would also a big plus for me. I have to admit 3mbps is starting to not be enough for modern internet tasks. I had 4G data once when PM pushed the new change to the 35$ plan. My account was glitched and I had full speed data for the two months I had that plan. I switched plans back to the 25$ one without thinking that it'll effect the glitch and it did. Darn.

Congrats on your one year anniversary! Nicely done on your rewards too.....you hit that goal of one referral a month for a total of 12. And they are all active. Mine wander between 10 and 13 but I'm not complaining! I needed to maintain an extra number thus my two accounts ($10+$15=$25) Although I get much less included plan data (250mb) the doubling of the freebies and rewards (autopay+loyalty) more than make up for it and I love that I get the option of full speed 4G LTE on the $10 plan ( not that I've found a reason to use or need it.) Thanks for sharing your experience of your first year with public mobile.

Yeah the pandemic brought a lot of people. I was planning to switch to PM back in 2019 but I never did because I was scared It was gonna be terrible and I was waiting on dotmobile. Once 2020 hit i finally decided to buy a SIM and forget about dotmobile and then covid happened. Once covid started getting a SIM was impossible I didn't want to order it and I'm glad I didn't because users were waiting weeks for theirs. Once I finally got out to walmart I picked myself up a SIM I was finally able to activate. I switched at the wrong time man. 

Fun fact I came into PM paying more than I was with rogers. I was previously on a rogers 20$ prepaid plan and wanted data. PM's plan was only an extra 5$ and I didn't think I would get much rewards going into it, Well that sure changed after I started referring my whole family. Glad I made the switch.
