The short answer I guess anything is possible and I will not be surprise that can be done.
The larger question I have in mind is there is no web site reference where a person can go and do some reading and some research as to whether the donation is a REAL or is it another scam.
Without know more about it, I would reserve my ignorance and stay away from such activity until I have more details and information.
Be careful with such intimidating emotional little messages that you may receive.
