In keeping with our frugal nature, PM would source "last year's", or even "2 years ago" NEW phones to sell at a discount to regular retail pricing.

Details:

a) phones would be sold only when available; NO PREORDERING

b) all phones unlocked and compatible with PM

c) warranties provided by the brand; e.g. Apple/Microsoft/Samsung "stores"

d) only available to active PM accounts with a DELIVERABLE PM account address (only 30/90 day accounts)

e) full price paid by Visa, etc.; NO loans

f) no charge shipping by Canada Post (or other courier) with PM SIM; must be signed on delivery

g)14 day "no quibble" returns

Sorry @Luddite but I do not see this happening.  Why would PM want the headache of reintroducing hardware sales?  It requires a lot of work and cost, including vendor selection, product sourcing, stocking, shipping, etc.  Plus your suggestion that Apple/Microsoft/Samsung retail stores...that might be possible, but I would think they'd be looking for some $ from PM to offer that up.  Just sayin'

Unless they have a way to source cheap phones, otherwise I don't see why PM would get into the business of selling unlocked phone.

All true, but I still like the idea. Besides it's what marketing people can do. Promos, after all, do not take much marketing effort.

It would be similar to the phones zoomer sells.    There might be a demand for this but doesnt pm deal with orchard. Maybe they should do this instead of PM.

@Luddite, sorry I have to thumbs down this suggestion.  Let electronics retailers do what they do best, retail electronics.  Public Mobile is better served to stick with the narrow focus of selling discount service.
