Would be nice especially for those who don't have or use credit cards to make pre-authorized bank payments instead of having to purchase vouchers as the only other payment method. Every other prepaid phone carrier I'm aware of already has that option.

Or if need be accept paypal and the user can decide from there how the payment is handled.

@Artiss  I beleive paypal has been discussed and I think it use to be an option but the fee structure of it was just to costly.

"Checkout with Paypal" is a payment option on the sim-card order page. PM has never offered the PayPal option in selfserve, but it sure would be more convenient for many. However, I do not know if pre-authorized payments can be registered using paypal as the payment method. So the user in this scenario would miss out on the autopay rewards.

Having online vouchers would be a step in the right direction, however, still the need for a credit card.

I imagine that the reasoning for not allowing bank account linking is the same as the reason for not allowing Paypal.  Too pricey.

I guess so, and when you compound it across 10,000+ users it adds up.

Everyone talks about the transaction costs, but what's 3% on $120? It's a $3.60 cost for PM if someone renews for 90 days on a $120 plan with their credit card. I can't imagine that PayPal would be any more expensive! I really wish they'd include the PayPal option because I prefer to use my bank account than a credit card, and I don't really want to go searching for vouchers.

PAD payments require paperwork to be signed, and that could be cumbersome. Maybe Interac online is another choice, but the banks participating are limited to some of the big ones, and that's it.

My vote (again) is for PayPal!

@daredogg Paypal's fees are 2.9% + $0.30 CAD per Domestic transaction (source).  Mastercard and Visa merchant discount fees are 1.5%.  So on a $120 transaction, that's $1.80 for a credit card transaction, $3.78 for a Paypal transaction.  It doesn't seem like much, but that's an extra $1.98 in pure profit per transaction for PM.  Four of those a year and you've got an extra $7.92 per year per customer.  Multiply by 200k customers, that works out to an extra $1.5 million a year.  (numbers obviously only for sample  purposes).  It adds up!
