Data only as "add-on"

Convert all data to "add-on" blocks (1, 3, 6, 12, 18 GB for example) that expire when used and NOT by time, with autorenewal once depleted. 

Perhaps priced in the current three tiers:

a) standalone

b) with calling, or texting

c) with calling and texting

Make PM truly unique in the markeplace!

I think that both should ways  be an option.  but i thinn much would depend on how much the addon blocks would cost.  

currently 1 gb is 30$  most providers have jumped their additional data to $70/gb. i think i would be scared what an 18gb block would cost. $360 (@20/gb)???

My suggestion is that it renews automatically. Since it is separate from the base plan, there will be no issue with "losing" services already paid.

I like this.  Essentially removing the data from the base plan, and only having the (no)voice/(no)texting as the base, picking a a 30 or 90 day plan length.  The 30/90 base renews on regular intervals, the the data addon block as described renews as required, without renewal of the voice/text.

Makes it a multi-choice plan, with separate renewals.

Rates on data would need to drop drastically, as $30/GB is insane.

I'm on Fall 2016, so the 12 GB including the voice and SMS is $40/month for 4 GB.  Make the rate for the blocks $10/1 GB, and slight savings for multi-GBs blocks (e.g. $28 for 3, $50 for 6, $75 for 9, etc..) would be interesting.

@Luddite you mad, mad genius!  I like this idea!  Like @mimmo, I'd say this absolutely depends on the pricing structure, but I yeah this could be an epic idea.  @stonechucker's idea of the $10/GB sounds pretty decent actually.

Luddite is a mad mad genius!  I totally agree that the $30/GB is crazy, and my cost of $10/GB still factored in the provincewide and txt costs, plus the base for 30 pr 90 days.

I truly like the data block add-on idea, but as mimmo_L has mentioned, the renewal would be disasterous at current pricing.

Realistic data pricing should be even lower than $10/GB on the multi-GB datablocks if they choose to do this.

I hope at least, PM will consider this one...  it could be a real winner.
