A dedicated board for "Suggestions & Feedback"?

There is currently no clear f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board or area where users can leave their "Feedback" or "Suggestions".  I assume when the Public Mobile Community Forum was being planned, that one of the objectives of Public Mobile was to encourage its' customers to provide this type of valuable insight??

Another community member helped point me to this "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board.  He suggested that perhaps this was the best area to leave generic feedback; although he wasn't sure (...and neither am I).

A few comments and impressions regarding the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board:

• IMHO, "Public Lab" does not mean anything (...so is it the best suited name?)
• After reading the "Public Lab" Announcements above and exploring the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board, my impression is that it's intended more as an area for collaborative brainstorming or group-thinking on big and new proposed concepts and ideas.
• As it is currently set-up, I do not feel encouraged to leave generic feedback; it just does not seem the intended purpose of the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board. 
  ➤ In fact, in the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board you cannot just start a "New Message" (new thread) as you can in all the other f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥s⃥ boards; rather you have to start a "New Idea" (...from your 'Idea Exchange Dashboard' nonetheless!!).

Perhaps rather than create a new and separate "Feedback & Suggestions" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board, you might instead encourage and steer your customers to post their 'everyday-type' comments and feedback here in the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board as well?

And, while admittedly I'm not entirely clear on the current purpose of the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board, nevertheless in keeping with the K.I.S.S. rule, I suggest re-naming the f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board to better reflect it's intended purpose (i.e. incorporate words such as "new",  "ideas" or "concepts" into the f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board title; or even "feedback" or "suggestions" if applicable).  Here are some ideas (with & without using the current "Public Lab" label):

• Public Lab | feedback & suggestions

vizine, The Lab's purpose is not for generic feedback, but for new proposed concepts and ideas. Its objective is to have as many community members add to and/or constructively criticize the proposed concept/idea. PM will then decide from the preceding if the idea/concept will be implemented, or whether PM should give it further thought. Badges and rewards are given for certain numbers of ideas/concepts given. As a grandfathered client, I am illegible for rewards, BTW. In terms of generic feedback, there is nothing stopping you from starting a thread. Post what you wish, and more than likely people will respond. The posts are routinely read by PM team members (employees). If they see a post that they regard as suitable for the Lab, you will be asked to post it there. I hope that this clarifies matters to a certain extent. Cheers.

1. Your descrtiption of the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥'⃥s⃥ board's purpose matches what my impression was.  Although, I believe that purpose could be more clearly defined or 'spelled out' than it currently is.

   I realize this; however the question is WHERE do I start that thread? 
   Where does someone post a thread/message for generic feedback? 
   Can the case be made to add a new/seperate s⃥u⃥b⃥-⃥f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board solely dedicated to generic feedback, comments and/or concerns?

Hello vizine, Starting with #2 above, "Can the case be made ...", I am a customer like you, and therefore not in a position to allow or disallow one or more sections for generic feedback to be made. The fact that you posted in the Lab means that your post will be read by PM moderators. The more posts about it from others, the better, as PM wants to know which ideas/concepts that the community wants. Insofar as where to start, please bear this in mind. I access the community on a smartphone, using the mobile version. If you are using a computer on the full (desktop) version, your view of the community is going to be very different from mine. Having said that, let's deal with the question at hand, that is, where to post. My view of the community includes a vertical listing of boards (categories). To be continued in 5 minutes.

The vertical listing of boards is in the following order: Discussions Announcements Getting Started Plans and Add-ons Rewards Self Serve Phones and Hardware Pioneers Paying for your service If this is the first time that you have seen the above, then it is quite likely that, what you call generic feedback, is board-specific. Just click the name of the board that is relevant to your feedback; compose what you wish to say; and post it. Does the above fully address your concerns? If not, please indicate what is lacking, and I will do my best to answer. Cheers.

We call them boards (categories), not sub-forum. In my mind, the community and forum are synonymous with one another. Others may disagree.

Examples may be the best way to show why the 'generic feedback' I am referring to does not easily fit into the current 'boards' structure.

Example 1:

I wanted to inform the Public Mobile web-team that while I was logged into my account earlier today, when I clicked on the big "Community tab" at the top of the page, I received the following warning/error message (... something to do with leaving a 'secure' site to un 'un-secured' site):

See the small 'bugs' identified in red text directly on the 1st and 3rd screenshot images (specifically an "email matching verification problem" and a "language selection issue") from an old comment in the "Need a replacement SIM card?" thread.

Summary:

The type of feedback I am referring to is mostly small issues, often website-related, that someone might want to bring to the attention of Public Mobile; yet is not-so-relevant to the Community at large (who probably would not care to read or comment on such items).

Rather than 'sprinkling' this type of feedback across all the various boards (often having to 'force' them into a board they only sorta fit into), I just wonder IF the case can be made to have a separate board for the sole purpose of sending this type feedback/comments to Public Mobile.

Hi Vizine, With regard to Firefox informing you that you are switching to an unsecured site, that should be brought to PM's attention via Contact Us. The reason that FF stated that the site was unsecured is due to Lithium hosting the site, but PM having its own certificate attesting to the page's authenticity. Lithium pages require Lithium certificates, not PM's. The community is meant for members to answer members' questions. None of us is in a position to effect change. For that, you need to inform PM officially by web mail. If you believe that your posts are relatively irrelevant, the first thing I would say is don't denigrate them! I'm certain that PM would want to know about the Firefox warning, in order to put it on its to-do list. Remember that PM is in Beta, and is counting on its customers to bring problems, big and small, to its attention via web mail.
