Hi @twinx

You need 3g phone with bands 850 and 1900

I'm sure you can find something in kijiji fast

I heard you can get a cheap phone on costco, not in the mobile section but where accessories are

Any phone working with Telus or bell will work too, bell phones just must be unlocked

@twinx

As mentioned above, your phone will not work on Public mobile network.  It is a 2G phone only.  Unable to support 3G or 4G bands.

Might work on Rogers/Fido network at the present moment.  Rogers and Fido does support GSM until the end of this year.  Afterwards, the 2G network is suppose to be decommissioned.

  • Dial *#06# to get your IMEI number in a pop-up window.
  • Head to imei.info.
  • Enter your IMEI number.
  • Click on the Warranty & Carrier button. However, you’ll need to create a free account to use this specific service
