I bought a new sim yesterday (Oct 13), activated it with porting my old number to Public Mobile. I waited for 3 hours and there was no connection that happened. apparently, the sim was not working and London Drugs gave me a new sim with a new number, and advise that I change my number after 2 days.
Questions -
Is there a guarantee that I can get my old number back?
Will Public Mobile charge my credit card for the 1st online activation? What will happen to the plan I chose and paid with my credit card?
Hiw do Ikkep the 1st account and move the 2nd one to the 1st?

@FSBinuya Just to clarify things, try the original carrier SIM. If it still works, and you do not close that account, all will be well. Once the moderators are able to activate an account for you, the number can be transferred.
If it has stopped working, it is likely convoluted but recoverable as it should have moved to the account that was created with PM SIM #1.
Look at your credit card statement to see whether you have been charged once, or twice. If twice, only the retailer can give you a refund, whereas PM may provide an account credit.
Sorry you are having such a difficult time moving to PM. Moderator response time has been quite variable lately, 1/2 - 5 days, so engage a backup plan. Mine is using fongo.com over wifi.

You shouldn't have done that. The person opened a new account for you. Retailers are not there to give support bit only to sell and activate.
The way to get service at Public Mobile by reaching out to the moderators. That will be needed to fix the broken number port.

@FSBinuya Since your activation was completed it means that the port was setup so even if the sim was defective your açcount was setup.
Apparently the sim wad not working and London Drugs gave me a new sim with a new number, and advise that I change my number after 2 days.
Very bad advice brcause noe you have two activated PM accounts.

The only way to get your number back is to purchase a new sim card. Sign in to your first selfserve account and select the change sim card option and enter the number of the newly purchased sim card.

@FSBinuya have you set up your my account and have you logged in? Might be interesting to see what it says in there. And this is where you change the sim card number as well.

If there was something physically wrong with sim but you already activated it, that means that it is already linked to your account. You only need to log in and change the sim number in your self-serve. If they already initiated the port it may have been done already. Try calling your phone and see if you can recognize your old answering system or is it public.
Since you can't receive sms you will not be able to create self-serve you will need assistance of moderators.
They only need to activate your self-serve and then you can swap the SIM numbers or you can ask them to do that too

1. Check you credit card online whether you were charged for 2 activations.
2. Did you port your number to PM during the first activation?
Test both SIM cards. Are both SIM card working?

I believe if you contact a moderator here they should be able to help you with all of that. I believe they should be able to transfer your number over and get things resolved. Best of luck.
