why is my iPhone 12mini getting a "Phone is note sim compatible" error?

Before I subscribed I did the check and it said it was compatible. After I paid it says it isn't compatible. Now I'm stuck in this log in loop. I'm pretty sure I have gotten 20 login confirmation codes thus far. Super frustrating.

Hi @Davepalmer , I'm late to the party, and you've probably already submitted a private message or ticket to customer service by now, which is a good plan.

Some thoughts based on your description of what happened:

  1. When originally continuing the activation in the Public Mobile app, did you see an option to "continue with eSIM anyway" after entering your phone's IMEI to check for eSIM compatibility?
  2. You can quickly check if your iPhone has an eSIM  (or is eSIM compatible) by heading to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM or Add Cellular.

Problem isn’t solved yet so that hourly is going to drop more yet. Thus my concern if this is a sign of things to come…

Do you get paid $120 an hour? Maybe you do. That $30 comes out to $360 per year. A little bump for you here at the start.

hi @Davepalmer don't spend more time fighting the login, submit ticket and wait for agent reply to the QR code issue first

wow... so.... like... is it always going to be this terrible... right now I am clicking the authorize this device every time I log in and every time I have to reauthorize. Sometimes my password works for somethings but not others. right now I can log into the app but not service. This is been a nightmare to set up... questioning if it is worth the extra $30 a months to stay with bell right now. I'm 3 hours into problem solving this.

Unfortunately the Ticket System has been malfunctioning since the switch to EverSafe ID in late May.

You now have to message the Customer Support Agent directly through the Community.

Where does one go about submitting a ticket. I can't seem to get to a page in the app that allows me to do so. I get this endless cycle of logins and confirmation codes.

The error you got could be the system has error generated code and not your phone compatibility. CS  agent can regenerate you the QR code, please submit ticket

I have a "thank you for your order" email and that is it. there is no QR code in that email. It does show that I "purchased" an esim

I didn't get a QR code in an email... I went through them twice looking for it. 

@Davepalmer do you see option for didn’t get code . If so tap it Hopefully it will give you option to send code to email instead . Or entering in the wrong code few times may give you this option to then send code to email instead . You can also try reset password option too to get code sent to email . If no luck please submit ticket to support to help

we notice this error comes a lot but probably a mistake.  Get the QR code from email and try scan it

if that does not work or  cannot find email, submit ticket

Yes, that is the place it tell's me my phone isn't Esim Compatible.
