Postpaid carriers will refund remaining balance and pro-rate unused plans. Public Mobile is pre-paid, and does not. I presume this may be the case with other pre-paid carriers as well.

@majinbu

You closed your account.

Did you make a mistake?

You can contact moderators to cancel the move

There are no guarantees though as you already authorised the port but depending on your account it may be worth the try.

If you were offered something by Koodo it may be unavailable for you when you are ready to transfer

Hello @majinbu ,

Public Mobile is prepaid. If you ported your number to another provider, anything that would have been in your Public Mobile Available Funds is officially gone.

Your SELF SERVE account would not be accessible either since your account is closed with Public Mobile.

If you want to ensure your credit card info. is removed and need to inquire further with Public Mobile about your situation then you can contact the MODS through the link @HALIMACS provided and explain your situation.

Koodo and Public Mobile are under the same Telus "Umbrella" so who knows. But do not get your hopes up,

Good luck

As soon as the porting process completes from one carrier to another, the prior account is automatically closed.

Any credit remaining on a Public Mobile account is forfeited when the account closes.
