Ported from Rogers to Public. I have an Essential Phone. Put in new Sim card. booted up and showed Public Mobile in top left hand corner then went. Cant create account as I cant verify a text message that does not get to phone? Any help

@JonjoYou might want to take your sim card out and re seat it. It might be lose / not properly installed. Most of the NO SIM CARD error or SIM CARD NOT DETECTED occurs when the SIM card is not inserted properly or loose so that cell phone won't recognize SIM card.
Have you tried to reconnect manually to public mobile under "mobile network settings"?
If you just ported, it takes some time, every hour or so remove your battery / restart your phone. It can take time on your first port over.
If the issue continues you may have a partially completed port, sometimes ports just take a bit longer. One of the moderators can take a look, see if they need to do something to move it along. Click this to send them a message
