Are you talking about 2FA codes being sent from your self-serve account with public mobile or are you talking about in general and in particular 2FA verification codes from Banks or other financial institutions? If you just ported in these short codes will not sent to your phone for at least 72 hours and in some cases up to 7 or 10 days for the prevention of fraud.
