Have a question, my phone does not have volte it has lte/3g.  Samsung A50 old phone.  Does that mean it won't work making calls in the USA or Mexico?  Also, if in US or Mexico can you call Canada with no roaming fees?

@Sue-s1

Double check and enter the A50 IMEI to see if it is VoLTE (voice over LTE) at the bottom of the link.

Thanks.  Eventually I will be upgrading my phone.

LTE isn't short for VoLTE. LTE is only a network type.

@Sue-s1  your phone does have VoLTE,  LtE is short for VoLTE.  When you call someone, what's the status in the upper right corner?

It should work fine in Mexico,  however you might have issues in the USA because even though it has VoLTE,  your phone is not supported by PM. So eventually even here in Canada you will be experiencing voice issues eventually.

With the Canada-US,  Mex plan, you don't pay a roaming fee.
