trying to figure out if i got ported yet

Hi  porting from another carrier    i can make calls out and text out but can't get calls in bound.  When i call my own number my old carrier voicemail comes on.  Confused!

If you did porting correctly (both accounts were active, left old SIM in phone and replied Yes within 90 minutes, etc.), you will be assigned temporary number until porting is completed. That is why you Can call/SMS out but all calls still go to old number.

Mobile to mobile porting is relatively quickly process and should be done in few hours. Try rebooting your phone and check from time to time.

@jeanm63 In order to port success fully your old account must be active and you must leave your old sim in your phone to except transfer request you have 90 minutes to respond yes

Did you leave your old SIM in your phone to wait for a text confirming you are porting over to PM? You have 90 minutes to reply or your porting request is cancel.

If this is the case, your old SIM should still work but you need to contact a CS_Agent to restart the porting process.

@jeanm63 , it is the inbound calls that confirm completion of the number transfer.  The fact that calls are still going to the old carrier is additional confirmation.  Did you accept the number transfer from the old carrier end?
