text conversation out of order

i'm not sure if it's my phone, the messaging app or the network, but i've noticed for a few months now that my text conversations with my girlfriend are out of order, my replies to her show up as if i sent them first, not a big deal just annoying, wondering if anybody else has experienced that.

your device is Android,

• turn off device take out SIM card and inserted back and turn on,
• Airplane Mode on/off
• go to your text app clear cache/clear data,
• updated version of Messages app,
• if outgoing texts messages from specific contacts

Delete the contact add it again.

• Check if you need to specify a country code (e.g) add  +1 or 1  in front of area code

• if sending MMS messages

Ensure that you have a data mobile connection is on,

• check your software ios update,

and rebooting device. i hope is helpful.

It definitely Not your phone.

I experience the same. SMS show up out of order.

First, check if your time settings is on Automatic (Date and Time).

You can try restarting your phone, resetting your network, and if you're using a messaging app, you can try re-installing it.
