If I switch to a new plan, which is available as a limited time offer, and the end date of the promotion (May 20) occurs before my renewal date (May 24), will it switch correctly? Or is it necessary to begin the new plan before the promotion end date?

Once you have scheduled the renewal with the plan you want while it's available it should switch over without issue even after the promotion end date. You won't lose it as long as it's scheduled.

When you go to switch to the new plan, you will see two options. Change NOW or change on renewal date. Choose renewal date. That way you don't lose money!! However, you're only 4 days out so... you'd only lose 4 days and start reaping the benefits of the new account right away. Your call.
