If your account was closed more that 90 days, Sim cards can be used only once and you would have to purchase a new SIM. If you had suspended the account for less than 90 days, it should still be valid and once you sign onto the account their is a section under My profile to change the number.
If it's not working and it's less than 90 days, contact support at the link below to inquire if possible.

I previously had an account with a sim card A but I stopped my account for 3 months. Now I get my phone number back with an esim. I want to use my sim card A. It shows an invalid sim card when I change from esim to the sim card A. Is is possible to activate sim card A again?

Can you clarify what you mean by inactive? Did you previously have an account with Public Mobile and you closed it and are wanting to reopen a new account using the same SIM card?
