service not working with the new public mobile replacement sim, old sim was damaged

hi Thank you for your response. ok i put in the new sim into the phone which i recently purchased and received. the old sim was damaged  - this is the new sim number 8912230000 xxxxx xxxx. i placed this into the phone but it is not working please assist thanks. i also changed the sim to this new one on the online public mobile account. please assist .

i did change the sim card number on the account 

thanks for your help. i am not sure why it is not working does the sim number have to be facing upward or down iinto the phone ?

@TonyMoniz   did you complete the Change SIM card process on My Account?

 

Enter the new sim card number and following the stops to complete.  You likely need to do one or couple more device reboots after completing this process on My Account

Login to My Account, click Quick Link on the top right and then Change Sim card

@TonyMoniz , please try rebooting the phone after doing the SIM swap.
