second phone

Have a secong phone with new sim card and created a new e mail but it wont let me activate . Wants me to download public mobile but i already have it on my computer for the first account.  This phone is for my wife.

I agree that the 1900 MHz will work but the reason to change my spouse’s Samsung S8+ is because calls were spotty or the calls goes to the voicemail but when I replaced it with the Samsung S24FE there was no issues. Why is that?

This isn't correct.  VoLTE isn't an absolute requirement for phone calls (yet).  1900MHz on 3G is still avaialble and can be used for phone calls.

If you can’t download the PM app old phone is because it is too old and on an old OS.

Since the removal of the 850 MHz 3G frequency. You will need VoLTE for your phone to make calls so check the IMEI of the old phones to see if it is compatible.

If not compatible then you are wasting your time on the old phone for emergencies.

You might need to bite the bullet and get her a new phone then download the PM app on n the new phone and activate the SIM.

If you are using physical sim card, yes, you can use the app on another phone to activate the second account

Its a throughaway phone for emergency only and have allready paid for basic acount. Cant download to her phone. Can i activate this sim on another android phone

@Peter0527  you need the app to activate be best to download app on your wife’s phone and activate the sim / account
