ported in and cannot send and receive sms messages

I encouraged my friend to switch to PM and since he is not able to send and receive txt messages.

He tried to use the sim on a different phone and still same problem.

He can make inbound and outbound calls and it has been more than 24 hours since activation and still the same.

He rebooted the phone and all the other tricks.

Please assist as I feel embarrassed to get my friend to PM then he has all the trouble.

PM is having problem provisioning text capability for new activations.  And if you are an iPhone user,  iMessage activation by phone number will also be impacted without a working SMS.

PM is working on a fix but for now, they can only resolve the issue on a case by case basis.  Please open ticket with PM support by messaging CS Agent here:

Public Mobile has had issues with texting for over a month with new customers. Please get your friend to create an account and send a ticket to customer service to fix the issue. You will not be able to create a ticket from your account to help him. It has to be his.
