outage ?

Is anyone having issues with their service, as of last night my service has been spotty, as not able to receive or make calls at all times, when I try to make calls I get some not registered. Every so often the call is established,  so something is screwy. I'm in Montreal.

It seems that it was a local problem as it got resolved without any intervention !

For me the issue was first detected last night, I was at YUL airport, I was not receiving calls, but had data (Not Wifi),  was receiving DMs etc, tried making a call and it wouldn't work.

At home later that evening, I was able to receive/send texts, and make calls on occasion, but would not be able to receive.

This morning, I switched sims (from another provider) and both my phone (with a non PM sim) and my wife's phone (with PM sim) worked for at least a few calls, so that ruled out the possible of a faulty phone.

Put back PM sim, and again was spotty, at times I would be able to make calls, but for the most part, it would say Not registered on network.

I then checked my mobile network connection and was set to: GSM/HSPA/LTE,  when I selected GSM/HSPA I was able to make numerous calls, so I think the issue might have been with LTE for voice/texts but data was fine.

Now I have switched back to GSM/HSPA/LTE and for the last little while maybe 30min or so, its seems that things have been resolved (I hope I just didn't jinx it), so will see if they got truly resolved.

from the sounds of things...there's a local network upset. Shouldn't take too long for Telus to fix. Hang in there.

Thank  God, I'm not the only one with this problem!  I thought I'd messed my phone up somehow.

@Zevenmore

if both you and petey99 are experiencing similar problems...I suspect an unreported local Telus issue. Ask wife is able to drive/walk to different part of town to try to make the call.

@Zevenmore

Maybe ask her to try a network reset of her phone (this will erase any saved wifi passwords)

@petey99

if I understand...the problem is on her side...correct ? If so, see if she has a different cellphone and try the PM sim in that phone. That'll help troubleshoot if it's a cellphone issue or a network issue.

I work in Montréal with no issue but my wife is at home near Montréal ans she doesn't have service....she rebooted twice. Telus map not showing any issue!

If there is no reported outage in your area, maybe try rebooting your phone.  Network reset of phone (this will erase any saved wifi passwords).

could be a local network issue. Use this link to see if there's Telus problem in your vicinity...
