number transfer unsucessful

As for many of us reading posts here many encounter  this but didnt find anything quite like this. So yesterday i join PB with an esim and temporary number as it was recommended. then transfer my number from my previous carrier which i got the confirmation its been done , then got a text from telus saying it failed. at this point tried some phone/network/stolen phone resets nothing but my old carrier sim seemed to be still working and not cancelled. I somehow manage to change my PB account phone number to the transfered one even if it didnt go fully through. dont ask me how i dont know how i did it.

Then next day after submitting ticket the agent initiated another transfer request in the backend because manually myself on self service it said my number was invalid. Got the text message again , accepted the transfer again, now got confirmation from old carrier my plan as been cancelled and my phone doesnt have network from this carrier anymore, good.

Now with that got text from telus saying phone transfer successful please restart phone which i did. And oh boy , to my surprise my PB account now shows a random temporary number as well as my sim card. My old number that i tried to transfer is gone from everywhere and nowhere to be found now. Cannot receive or send anything with my number anymore as it gone from my previous carrier and somehow didnt port to PB although saying it did. Several hours passed since a reply from an agent and im worried my phone number got lost into the abyss at this point as none of the carrier as it. anything i can do ?

For those who wanted to know how it got fixed. Had to call Telus customer service to confirm the number had been really successfully transferred from old carrier. When they said yes all they told me was either wait until public mobile finish the transfer or contact customer service again. Since customer service had no update i just had to wait i stayed on the line trying to solve it anyway with the telus personnel and While on the phone with that said Telus guy for over an hour,  the line suddenly cut while we were talking and trying to figure it out. Logged back in my PB account to see the update has been made as well as the number in my ESIM with the right phone number. Then i got a message from a cs agent here saying they updated my account with xxx xxxx number which ironically was the temporary number. Not sure if its a typo and he meant to say my new number or after all those conversations they thought the temporary number was the number i wanted but i wont ask myself the question at this point id rather not know. This experience was complete pain and chaos but was fixed in the end. Voila patience is key

Since you've already submitted message to a customer agent and still have a problem, you should try calling the porting assistance number. Good luck

phone as been reboot several time, as well as numerous network reset, even the lost stolen phone reset also, when calling the number it says number you have reach is not in service. its not just a number showing wrong issue at this point as even my pb account phone number is wrong

hi @jordanha 

First, reboot your phone .  Then try calling your own number (the number you want to transfer) from another phone, does your phone with PM sim right?  Please try

The transfer could have been completed and working and just the number showing on the phone has not updated yet

Also, try Reset Network Settings on the phone and the phone would show the correct number
