If i have an iphone XR and get a new Iphone 14 do i need to purchase a new sim card? or can i transfer it?

All your account information is in the SIM so pop it out of the iPhone XR then pops it into the iPhone 14. I hope it is the Canada version for the iPhone 14 with SIM & eSIM.

But if it is a US version iPhone 14 with only eSIM. Currently you can’t switch from SIM to eSIM so you will need to pick a new number with eSIM but contact a CS_Agent to see what can be done.

@Julianneludlam  Just take sim out of the XR and put it in the iPhone 14 that’s it 

Adding if it’s eSIM you have on the XR you will need to get a physical SIM card from Telus or Koodo best to call around first or order one from Amazon on sale right now $4.99 and then log into your my account and SIM card swap the number

If it’s a physical SIM card just transfer it to your new iPhone.
