@sidoua25   No, there is no roaming option to use PM Service in France

PM is prepaid and hence cannot arrange refund

How long you will stay in France?  If it is longer than a month, you might want to remove Autopay so PM won't be able to take money again in your next renewal (March 30).

But please note that if you disable Autopay, your account will be suspended starting March 30 and can only be suspended for 90 days or your account will be permanently closed and you will lost your phone number.  If you are there for long time  but would like to keep your phone number when you are back , let us know and we can suggest workaround

@sidoua25  - Public Mobile does not have of any services outside of North America. No refunds on funds already paid on a plan renewal.

1-

If you have enough funds in your Available Funds area for the next plan renewal and you will not be back in Canada, then log into your self serve account:https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/Overview/  and list your phone into lost/stolen status to Suspend your account. This will prevent further payments from being made and any funds taken.

2-

If you DO NOT have enough funds in your Available Funds area for the next plan renewal and you will not be back in Canada, remove Autopay option from your account (if applicable), and your plan will not renew on your next renewal date. Then your account will go into nonpay/Suspended status.

*For both 1 and 2 above, when you return, you will need to log back in and reactivate the plan, or if it past the renewal date, add funds then reactive/resume service.

NOTE: you have 90 days to resume/reactivate your account.

Over 90 days is nonpay/Suspended status you lose your phone number, account and access to self serve.

If you are going to be gone for over 90 days, you can change your plan to the cheapest one of $15 before you resume and ensure you resume/reactivate a few days before the 90 days are up.

Hope this helps and makes sense.

Here is an article on your sim card/plan options for France. The very best deal is the Free sim card provider....the one I mentioned that is the last one mentioned at the bottom of the page. Otherwise if you are travelling to another country shortly like Spain or Portugal then they have even cheaper options. All continental European countries in the EU have free roaming in the 30 member countries.

Unfortunately....no and no. There were some options before you left Canada but not once you are there. However there are options to suspend your service while you are away to save you some money going forward but keep your account and phone number for a minimal cost. See the spoiler below.

Spoiler
  1. You can turn off autopay and allow the account to suspend at the of your current 30 day cycle but this is your least advantageous option. Pay and reactivate by day 85 or so.
  2. If you have an account balance that exceeds your plan amount then you need to suspend via the lost/stolen feature in your account before midnight eastern on the evening of your renewal. Then on day 85 or so resume your service to pay and reactivate.
  3. Suspending via lost/stolen before midnight eastern will keep your voicemail active allowing you retrieve voicemail and any verification sent by phone calls. However your rewards will not be applied to your account. Moderator/CSA contact after paying and reactivating is necessary to have the rewards applied manually.
  4. Voicemail can be accessed by calling your pm number from a different phone by calling your phone # and pressing * once connected and entering your 4 digit voicemail pin #.
  5. If you don't have an account balance or enough balance to cover your plan amount you can suspend via lost/stolen after midnight but before 2 am eastern on the day of your renewal. Once your rewards have been applied (usually by 12:15 am et) then suspend your account. Voicemail access will be lost.
  6. Switching to the $15 plan with rewards helping to cover a partial or full amount of your plan allows you to call forward your pm number to your fongo number  before you leave Canada.. Now any incoming calling to your pm number will ring thru to your fongo number while on wifi or mobile data (w/a local or global sim card) You can access your fongo voicemail for all voicemail messages.

Most important mark on your calendar day 85 of your suspension and day 90. Do not forget when you must unsuspend your account via lost/stolen and/or pay and reactivate your service so you don't lose your phone number and account. Happy travels and Stay--Safe!

Edit:

Fongo is an example of a voip provider there are others such as textnow that you can take a Canadian number so you can call your contacts in Canada or your own phone number for voicemail etc...while on wifi or mobile data. Local sim cards and plans are much cheaper than here....if you are in Paris there is a really cheap one but you have to go to their shop to get it....I will find the info for you.

@sidoua25

Sorry but PM doesn't offer roaming plans while in France.

All PM plans are prepaid service so there will be no refunds unfortunately.
