iphone 16 call interruptions

i have a new iphone 16 with a recent update to IOS 26. Since acquiring this phone i will constantly  have a call dropped during a conversation. There is also a significant delay in connecting upon making an outgoing call.

i had neither problem with PM on my previous Iphone XR.

if you have a physical sim card, try that in another phone, it will force a sim reprovision and could resolve your issue easily that way

if that does not work or if you have an eSIM, open a ticket with PM CS agent and ask them to reprovision it on the system

    Start by typing "Submit a ticket", then click "Contact Us", then "Other", then "Log In", finally click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗
    (if you cannot receive 2FA via SMS, click "Didn't Receive code" or "Resend Code" and choose "Send email" to get 2FA)
2. If you have trouble with Chatbot or you don't have access to My Account: Private message CS Agent at:

**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on the top right) after ticket submitted, CS Agent will reply to you there

Tried reboot/reset with little success. The only apparent change was an increase in the length of time on the call before it dropped.

From your experience, looks like VoLTE is not working, but it should be. 

Maybe try a reboot of your phone. Network reset of phone. 

Instead of Auto network selection. Try to select LTE network to try calling (instead of 5G or Auto).
