@shkhan300

Have you tried all of the suggestions so far? After trying everything listed by @HALIMACS has switching to 3G only seem to have solved the issue? If so you can try switching back to the 4G LTE/3G/2G (autoconnect) setting every few days to see if the issue returns as it is likely due to equipment upgrades on local cell towers that all three of the main providers are currently in the process of completing across Canada.

The reason your voice calls are diverting to voicemail is because public mobile uses the 3G network for calling as such it switches from the 4G LTE network to the 3G network and with the upgrades slight delays can occur causing calls to default to voicemail. Remaining on the 3G network ensures calls connect immediately and ring thru to your phone. Texting and mobile data also work on the 3G network so they remain unaffected with your data speed actually increasing up to 20+mbps but with higher latency.

In most cases of customers reporting this issue the equipment upgrade work lasts a couple of weeks and your calling issue will resolve itself. At that time you can change from 3G only to your 4G LTE/3G/2G (autoconnect) setting and remain there.

Try these fixes:

  1. Take off airplane mode
  2. take off do not disturb
  3. ensure the number calling you is not on blocked senders list
  4. disable any call-forwarding features
  5. turn off Bluetooth device if it's possible the 'ringing' is going through to it instead of device's speakers
  6. remove and reinsert your SIM card
  7. reset network connections

HI @shkhan300   Some, but not all?

did you try to reseat  you SIM?  First power down the phone, take the sim out and wipe it clean.  Then put the SIM back and power it back up

If still not working well, try to change the network to 3G Only/WCDMA and see if it resolves the issue.

@shkhan300  - check that your phone has not been accidently change to Do Not Disturb (DND) on your device.

Also, did you just port / transfer over a number from another provider?

If so, incoming calls are usually the last to port over.

Try rebooting your phone, and a reset of the network settings.

See helpful info. here: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/port-fraud-protection

This could be result of a temporary network issue or a phone number being blocked from within your contact list.  Some phones also have a setting to automatically send phoen numbers that aren't saved on your phone directly to voicemail.

Hi @shkhan300

reset SIM, take out SIM, re-inserting SIM and power on,
try toggling airplane mode off/on,

try manually selecting network "3G only" or WCDMA only,
and Rebooting device..test it.
