my i message can't be activated for some reason. It got linked to my icloud email but not to my phone number. what should i do? I tried troubleshoot it with apple customer service and they told me to connect with publicmobile. should I order a new esim?

hi @Jackie5846
no need a new esim at the moment.
But first, Go to Settings on your phone, Then to Messages/FaceTime, Switch iMessage/FaceTime OFF
And go to Settings, then Phone and then My Number to remove the phone number
Wait 5 minutes and reboot the phone
Then go to Settings, Phone, My number and put the number back
And go to Settings, Message/FaceTime and turn iMessages/FacekTime back ON again
Wait for it to finish activating in iMessage

it's not an esim issue...or a Public Mobile issue either. Check in settings > iMessage to make sure your cell number is there.
