iPhone says no service

So I recently switched phones and I inserted my public sim into my new one and it says that I have no service but when I put it in my other phone it works. I have tried everything like restarting my phone, taking out the sim and putting it back in.

Best course of action at this point is to find another sim or 2 even to test (preferably PM but any provider really) if they don't work either you know its a device issue and your PM sim is most likely fine.

Do you know anyone with a PM sim you can try? It sounds like your sim is not seating correctly in the slot for some reason. Maybe try cleaning the sim and installing again?

@Wakursak-17 - if other SIMs worked in this iphone 11, and your Public Mobile SIM card works in another phone, then this iphone either has a software issue or it is blacklisted or locked, or other (if someone can offer up something else? )

Sorry to be repeating....but,

Did you actually check the blacklisted website?

https://www.imei.info

And did you actually check @JoyLuck post about being locked?

@Wakursak-17 - are you able to see if another provider's SIM works with the iphone 11, if you can borrow a working one from someone?

If another SIM does not work, then there is an issue with the iphone.

Was the iphone 11 used previously by someone else, another number? If so deregister the number on the iphone: https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/

It’s all up to date, iOS 15.4.1

@Wakursak-17

Do you have all the updates? You might need to connect it to ITunes to get all the carrier updates.

I checked and it says no sim restrictions

Did you connect to wifi and go into settings general about to see if anything pops up.

@Wakursak-17

Confirm it is unlocked:

Another quick, easy way to find out if your iPhone is unlocked is by checking the Settings app.
  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap General > About.
  3. Look for Carrier Lock. If it says No SIM restrictions, then your iPhone is unlocked. If it says SIM locked or anything else, it is probably locked.

@Wakursak-17  - do other SIM cards work in this phone?

Is the phone locked? Contact the previous provider to unlock it for you. You will need your imei number, dial *#06# to get it.

Check if your phone is blacklisted here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/

@Wakursak-17 Are you sure the new iPhone is unlocked and not blacklisted? Which model is it and iOS version?
