iPhone 5S - unable to edit APN settings

Hello, my wife just ported over to Public Mobile from Rogers and she is having issues. First off, it doesn't say LTE on the top it says 3G and the data isn't working. When I try to manually update APN settings it only has an option for personal hotspot, nothing else. When I go to the apn changer website, Public Mobile is not an option to install as a profile. I do not have any profiles installed. I have already tried resetting network settings. What do I do?

Usually iPhone just need to pop in the SIM and good to go.

iOS will download carrier profile update automatically.

However, older iOS system might have problem updating the carrier setting.

(For example: you didn't update the system for years, still on iOS 8.0) Smiley Tongue

You should update iOS first. Then you will see a message:

After you press update and reboot, your problem should be solved!

If you still have problem, try to remove profiles you installed (if any).

Settings > General > Profile, selete a profile. Then tap "Delete Profile"

If your data isnt currently working, then turning on lte will not fix it. Follow @Rockdaddy22 link on your iphone device and that should change the settings for you.

If you have 3G symbol and Public Mobile at the top, it means your phone is good.

So in order to setup your data so it goes LTE. You must go to Settings --> Cellular Data Options --> then you will see option to turn on LTE.
