Hello,
I think about buying an Open-Box iPhone 15. I read about different versions (eSIM only and SIM only) and difficulties regarding iPhone eSIM and Public Mobile.
As I don't want to run into issues (I need my phone for professional reasons), I would like to check prior to buying the iPhone. Are there any knowns issues with iPhone 15 and Public Mobile, especially related to eSIM? Not sure if that is valuable information, but momentarily I use an Android with a SIM card. I think I would like to use eSIM with a new iPhone.
Any helpful information is very much appreciated to ensure a smooth transition.
Thanks in advance

hi @MattDodson
US version will work in Canada without trouble

I have tow different offers:
- Canadian version: MTMR3VC/A
- US version: MTM43LL/A
I'm wondering if the US version will work in Canada although a few bands (frequencies) are different. I don't want to run into issues, like poor reception due to unsupported bands when using a US iPhone 15 in Canada.

@MattDodson Both the CAN/US iPhone models will work with public mobile with eSIM . And public mobile is great budget brand for personally use , but if you need phone and service for professional/ business use I would look to Telus for those needs

No known issue with eSIM with iPhones. There sometimes new account set up issues that may occur with eSIM, but that can also happen with physical SIM cards also.
It looks like that you are already a PM customer. When you purchase your new phone, just download the PM app to new Phone. Login into your account and then "purchase" an eSIM ($5 charge) and follow prompts to install eSIM. If you already have a PM physical SIM card in your android, you just need to move that SIM card to your new phone (if it has physical SIM card slot).

hi @MattDodson iPhone 15 works beautifully with PM, no issue. No problem with eSIM too. But if you got non-US model, it should have both physical and eSIM
just make sure you buy from trusted source, make sure phone is not blacklisted. Many have trouble with private sell or via marketplaces
