iPhone 11 - 5G plan

Is there any point going to a 5G plan if I have an iPhone 11.

Once again @PercyQ you can still get decent speeds on a 5G plan but have a 4G phone. It's about the amount of extra data you didn't have before that you'll have now. And being unlimited data after which ever data plan you pick at a throttled speed, that's the perk IMO.

Upgrading isn't an option.  I guess my question is, what is the down side of having a 5G plan with a phone that isn't compatible.  I'm not as fluent as most of you.

you gonna need to upgrade iphone 12 or up to use 5g . just upgraded mines to a 12

Honestly, sometimes it's more about the amount of data than the speeds itself. I have a 5G plan with a 4G phone but a crap load of data. 🙂
