my husband and I both switched to PM within an hour of each other. His phone is working fine. Mine will not send or receive messages from my phone number: waiting for activation. How long does this take and how can I fix it

@Jayall77 There is currently a technical glitch with SMS and iMessage (and I think MMS) for some new customers that requires a fix by customer support. Submit a ticket at the chat icon bottom right of this page. Unfortunately wait time may currently be longer than usual, their hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET.

Many times … keep getting message “MMS Messaging requires your phone number. Press. Settings to go to phone settings and enter your phone number. But, once there, I cannot enter my phone number

Assuming you may not have tried this, reboot your device and then reset network connections to see if it established.
