I recently went to the USA. I have a Canada/USA phone plan. Ever since I went my phone won’t allow me to send iMessage. It says I don’t have an eSIM. My husband has the same phone and phone plan and did not have any issues. Nobody seems to be able to help me.

@Shelley54 Try this turn off iMessage and turn off face time . Then go to phone settings general >about and scroll bottom in blue letters “shutdown “ tap it wait 2-3 mins and power phone back on and turn on face time and iMessage and it should fix itself

hi @Shelley54 if your data works, I don't think you need to buy a new eSIM. Just an issue with iMessage
but again, you need to confirm if the data works

hi @Shelley54 so, you were using eSIM with PM?
your mobile data works?
which US network you are connected to?
try reboot the phone first and test again. Make sure the PM sim has Turn on this line enabled and using all 3 US networks

Yes I did and it didn’t work. I even took it to GeekSquad at Best Buy. They said it has to do with my eSim

Have you tried using imessage on Wifi? since you dont "need" data to use imessage, you can test by connecting to wifi and that will narrow down if its an issue with public mobile/data or something else.
You can also try going into your imessage settings and toggling it off/on and see if it does connect.

Did you reboot your phone by powering off then back on?

@Shelley54 Try reseting your network settings
