I don't see the option in my account for 90 day plan. Is the idea that your data and minutes get spread over 90 days instead of 30, but with the same average cost ?

Build your own 90 day plans have all been cancelled. Except for the 1 GB plan, no LTE plans either.
These changes do not affect any plan you currently have.

They are changing so much right now
Last time I checked the option to build your plan was gone, it's probably not permanent, but you can't be sure.

Unfortunately no longer an option as Public Mobile removed said feature.
Only those that are currently on those plans are able to keep them.
