@BEJAMIN

Did the PIN that @computergeek541 indicated work? Please let us know.

The above isn't correct.  A Public Mobile customer support agent has no way to know or to check what the SIM card's current PIN is set to.  Only the customer would know that, or it would be the default that I mentioned earlier.  A customer support agent would only be able to provide the PUK for the SIM card, but that isn't what the customer has requested.

Do you mean if the phone is locked to another carrier?  I'm going to go based on the assumption that the customer has the Public Mobile SIM card in the phone.  If the phone is asking for a network unlock PIN while the Public Mobile SIM card is in the device, a Public Mobile customer support agent wouldn't be able to help due the fact that would mean that the phone is locked to a different company.

Sorry, but the above isn't correct.  The customer is asking for a PIN, not a PUK, but even if we asusme that the csutomer asking for the SIM card's PUK, that absolutely isn't available on any of the SIM card's pacakging.  To date, I have seen this fale information repeated numerous times.  Unfortunately, it's not the case for Public Mobile SIM cards, nor have I ever seen the PUK for a SIM card ever printed on the packaging of a SIM card for any carrier.

Unless you (or somebody else) has manually change it, the PIN number for all Public Mobile SIM cards is 1234.

If your phone is "carrier locked" it wont let you install a new sim if its not theirs. Carrier unlock pin is something you need to ask your old provider and they legally must do it for you. You can even go to their shop and get it done, or google it

What is the error message showing on your phone for the PIN?

There is a device PIN and a SIM PIN.
