Hi,
I ported my account with 3 lines over from Fido on Oct 5, 3 days after my fido bill cycle starts. But my fido account balance still shows the full month and not pro-rated. Does anyone know if I need to contact Fido and how long will I need to wait for the final bill?
Thanks,

I got my final bill this morning, which would be 1 month since I ported my number. They prorated my bill, although there is a late charge I am trying to get them to drop. Thanks everyone for your help, I really appreciate it!

@nolvacarpenter Absolutely contact fido immeadiately to have them prorate your postpaid bill and credit your account any late charges they may add until they properly send you a bill with the correct charges. You can pay any amount due from the previous month and the 3-4 prorated amount by your own calculation so you are current and await the final bill from fido that may have a small difference in the calculation between yours and theirs.

@nolvacarpenter- Unless you are on some sort of prepaid plan at FIDO, they should give you a pro-rata credit. you would need to contact them directly.

@nolvacarpenter When you ported your number from fido you were 3 days into your new billing cycle. It started on Oct 2nd? And you ported out your phone number on the Oct 5th. Count the all full or partial days you still had fido service. For example if your plan is $50 ÷31 (days in october)
=$1.61 per day ×4 days=$6.44+tax then add in any extra charges showing on your current bill from the month before and that's what you owe fido unless you were still under contract and/or have a subsidized device that was not paid off yet then you will owe the balance left on the device as well or the ECF (early cancellation fee $50 or 10% of your remaining contract.)

Daps is asking about final bill. There no bill for prepaid.

You ported after bill was made. It doesn't get adjusted until next bill. You need to the full bill or they will charge late fees. Next bill will issue the prorated refund. Any extra credit will be refunded by cheque.

I think it depends on whether you had fido prepaid or postpaid.
With prepaid, there are generally no refunds or fees after cancelling.
With postpaid, your plan is prorated but if you skipped out early on your phone contract, you may end up owing them money for your phone device.
You can always call fido to ask.

You FIDO bill will follow your account billing date which is 24th each month.
