I plan on getting a new iPhone 15 to replace my 11 which has an esim for PM. If I purchase an esim for the 15 (as that is the only option) what is the process to transfer my current phone number to the new PM esim?

Thanks for the info. I was planning on getting the American version as it works out a bit cheaper with the current exchange rate and the sales tax would be less so I'd save a little over $200. I didn't realize that Canadian version had a physical sim slot. When I was looking through the other threads about esim transfer it seemed unworkable but I guess if I go the route of paying for a new esim then it should be pretty straightforward.

You must have the American version of the iPhone 15 because the Canadian version WILL have SIM and eSIM.
I would suggest you go with a SIM because it is more portable than eSIM if it is a Canadian version.
Everything is done through the PM app to active both type of SIMs.

@Rajmoh You will need to log into the app with the new iPhone and re buy a eSIM from subscription add on page notice bottom of page shop sim select it and choose eSIM a download and install and it will keep your PM number and plan

@Rajmoh , as suggested it is probably a good idea to continue to use a physical SIM card for now until e-SIMs become swappable. It can get pretty expensive buying a SIM card every time a phone swap is done. Sometimes we do phone swaps for testing.

HI @Rajmoh
iPhone 15 in Canada has physical sim slot, you can just move your sim card over
I suggest you keep using sim card if it can, easier to switch phone
if you really need eSIM, download the PM app on your new iPhone, then login and go to Subscription & Add-ons and click Ship Sim card from the bottom of the page and follow the steps to buy eSIM and install eSIM
