I am travelling to the uk and purchased an eSIM from airalo. I downloaded it and installed it and seemed good. Then 30 min later it said it could not be activated. No number shows. I am still in Vancouver. Is that the problem? I am not on a UK network? I am travelling with 35 students and do not want to wait till I get over there to find out it isn’t working. Any thoughts or suggestions?

On a few group tours that I have been on in the recent past, all participants were added to a 'What's App' group chat. It was found to be much easier to advise and co-ordinate everyone on the tour. ( the phrase 'herding cats' comes to mind however.)
This does require a data plan such as Airelo offers.
Additionally, I added some long distance funds to my Fongo account and used that for phone contact on my travels.

Thank you. It is a voice and text eSIM but I still think you are correct and need to wait till I am over there. Thanks so much

normal., cos you are not in UK yet. No number shows as that is a data only sim, no voice
disable Airalo for now. Only enable it when you are in UK (disable your PM esim , but do not delete)
