the Error message pops up,
It says not allowed download unavailable in your region.
I'm from Korea current live in Canada.

that is not a esim download step, but the 2nd part of the activation. You need the Public Mobile App on your phone to compalete the step and install the esim for you
however, the app only allows to be download on phones with a Canadian app store. I do not really suggest you to ask your friend to help with that part, if you don't stop in term of the activation, the esim would install on your friend's phone
It is better to buy a physical sim card and activate with it. You can buy a PM physical sim card from Telus or Koodo store or via Amazon:

Then message support agent and ask them to help to update your account with the new sim and help to complete the activation:

(if you really want an esim, you can still ask your friend to download the app and help to complete the activation. But your friend have to stop right at the step when PM tries to install the esim. What you do next is to find the PM Welcome email and there is a esim qr code there, you can then scan and install esim that way)

@Sonee You need to change the location on your App Store . That or use a friends phone to download the app to activate . Then after that delete app from their phone and you can then manage your account online website
