Just curious if anyone else (who elected to activate their Public with a temp number and then port their previous number after) sees the temp number continue to display in their eSIM list on their phone even after successful port of the number (confirmed by the old provider as port complete)? Just experienced this coming over from Telus (Telus tech support resolved it - Public eSIM finally displaying correctly with ported number) and now my husband experiencing the same thing (port successful- confirmed by Telus but Public temp number still displaying in eSIM list).

my husband had help from the community which resolved it so we didn’t need to try network setting reset.

Hi! Mine showed up after a few hours as my old number after waiting and restarting my phone from time to time. Also , had a problem with the RCS messaging feature showing the temp number. But when I reset the RCS and autoverified the number on my phone, it finally showed up as ported number.

hi @Zanne new eSIM will keep same PM number, so no worry with that
to Reset network on IPhone
Resetting network settings removes all network settings, but does not delete any data or med
on Android
Go to Settings, then System, then Advanced, then Reset Options, and finally Reset Network Settings

Hi. Don’t know how to reset network settings- don’t see anything in phone to do that. Very reluctant to get new eSIM … not convinced this won’t cause more problems (can’t transfer existing PM number so wont this just result in getting a new number?.)

hi @Zanne
but his service is fully functioning and just the number in the eSIM not shoeing the correct one? Try Reset Network Settings
Another quick way to fix the problem is to get a replacement esim. Just login to PM app, go to Account page and select Purchase sim card and pick eSIM. The replacement esim is supposed to be free. If the system still charge you, pay first and ask PM for reimbursement after

It was working while the eSIM was showing as the temp number but regardless, it’s supposed to “overwritten” by the transferred number. After the rep fixed it, the PM eSIM now shows as my transferred number. But my husband has the same problem.unlike for me, For him, the rep at the tech support doesn’t know how to fix it or what the agent did that helped me (we’ve gone through two more reps, same thing). So he is messaging back and forth with another person now. They have no idea either and are just guessing - latest idea is to get a new eSIM… I don’t like that as PM doesn’t allow transferring of an existing PM number and now that his old number is confirmed as transferred to PM, I think it will mean he loses his transferred number. It’s being escalated supposedly. He is hating that we switched to PM given this hassle. Is yours resolved yet?

We still have the temp number showing as the PM eSIM but everything is working. Telus cannot fix. They say now that porting of number complete from Telus to PM, its PM tech support that must fix this. (There is only one rep at Telus that knows how to fix this but its random to get that person and the three Telus reps we spoke to over the past 2 1/2 can’t figure out what this other Telus rep did to resolve this issue in my phone to be able to fix the same issue with my husband’s PM eSIM ). So now we need to raise a ticket and I can’t recall how to do that

It was working while showing the temp number. It took a person at Telus porting support to do something to resolve. Been on with Telus again for my husband’s eSIM - it’s working while showing the temp number but would like this corrected. And Public might want to add this as a known issue into their faq’s or something. The tough thing is that the person from Telus who helped me was luckily knowledgeable about how to fix. Calling back this second time to fix my husband’s- we get a different Telus rep and they don’t know how to fix… onto our third person. They have already commented on how because the Telus account is cancelled they don’t think they can do anything (which kinda makes sense). Third person is giving it one last try. Then I’ll be back in this Public community looking for solutions on why their eSIM won’t update to show the correct ported number.

Hi. I am on the same boat. Is your number working now that the esim shows your old number?
