Hi! I am travelling to Europe next week. I am leaning towards buying an e-sim through Public Mobile. I know nothing about phones... I read the FAQ and watched their video, but what happens after I download the e-sim card? How do I get data? Does the e-sim card just allow me to access my PM regular data plan here in Canada? And is there any extra international roaming fee per day?
Thank you!!!

Here's a comprehensive guide to European e-sims and finding the right e-sim plan for your needs. If you use either Textnow or Fongo as suggested by @BKNS27 and @Chalupa_Batman you can save $$ by getting a data only plan since those voip apps only require mobile data or wifi for their calling and texting features.

You should also be able to use your unconditional call forwarding to redirect incoming calls to your Public Mobile phone # to ring thru to your voip app's phone # (as long as you choose a Canadian phone #).
*Just be sure to not let your PM sim card while in your phone to connect to a US cell tower after call forwarding to your voip # or it will default back to your voicemail.

You can also use the Fongo app when connected to wifi

Hello @CMSS
Public Mobile only works in Canada US and Mexico. If you want something that works out there, you want something like this. https://www.airalo.com/ - Get yourself something like TextNow so you can text and call back to Canada free
