Had an iphone for a while so updates were never an issue so since getting an android phone I'm still in June security update. I know Samsung has to push the update then carriers have to do their own crap and then it goes to consumers, does public mess with them or would that still be telus/koodo?

This phone was too good of a deal to pass up. Had an iphone X with a repaired screen and someone traded me an s10+ and $150 on my end for it. normally updates are a good priority but I didn't exactly pick this phone out brand new either

@Stuiiful-92 If monthly Andoid security updates were high on your priority list then a Google or Android One phone should have been your choice instead of Samsung. As others have mentioned PM has nothing to do with updates.

Update will be provided by provider where you purchase your Android phone from even you are no long with that provider.

If you purchased your phone from Telus or Koodo, check the following link for the update date for your phone.  Your may not have any update for your phone.

PM is a third tier provider and phones are unlocked so they wouldn't issue updates.  Phone updates would be provided by the phone manufacturer like Samsung, Google, & LG.
