why i have more data use during night when my phone is not open and i am asleep.

PM does it's updates around midnight. Reconciles the previous days usage.
The usage details for data are updated just a couple times a day. When it appears, it's your accumulated usage from the last time it showed up.

@Mar217 PM updates it’s usage 2x a day so it appears your using it over night while asleep but it’s just being updated from the prior 12 hours usage
