I do not understand why every night after 12:00 there is data used when my phone is on a charger, and I am in bed

It can be alarming to see data disappearing while you’re fast asleep, but with Public Mobile, this is usually a matter of how they report data rather than your phone actually "ghosting" you in the middle of the night.
Public Mobile’s system typically doesn't update your usage history in real-time. Instead, it aggregates your usage and posts it in 12-hour or 24-hour batches.
The Midnight Entry: Often, the data you see time-stamped at 12:00 AM or 12:01 AM is actually a summary of all the data you used throughout the previous day.
The Test: Check your usage during the day tomorrow. If you see very little activity reported during your lunch break but a big chunk at midnight, it’s definitely just the system catching up.

PM does not update the data usage constantly. In fact, it only update it twice a day.
So, any entry you see is just a total usage between that timestamp and the timestamp of the previous entry. The early morning usage you see on the Usage log does not mean it was used in the morning but a total usage for the last 12 hours.
