checking voicemail from US

I recently purchased the $15 add on US talk so I could check voicemail and it is telling me I don't have enough minutes to check my voicemail, despite having unlimited minutes on my Canada plan and having the US package.  Please help ASAP!

@SuzanneElaine  - your subject line says you are in the USA.

In order to have services with Public Mobile you need any plan, but it needs to be in active status. 

Then you need to purchase ROAMING addons (which last 10 days=240 hours) once successfully added to your account to obtain services (with exception of incoming texts, as @dust2dust already noted).

Purchasing an Add-On - be sure to:
1. Add funds to your account, if you don`t have sufficient funds  

2. Go back to the Add-Ons page and select your Add-On.

or try calling # 1-855-478-2542 from another device to access your account. And ROAMING addons you are looking for may be available to purchase if you have a card registered to your account, as long as you know your 4 digit account PIN.

Many times its forgetting the second step so hopefully that rectifies it for you. Although that is an interesting question since you are in the US can you call Canada with your base plan or add on or are you only restricted to the US, and if not could you access your VM? If not a Voip app could get around that when you have wifi and you can check your messages as long as you know your PIN etc.

@SuzanneElaine Are you in Canada or in the US? 

You may have bought the wrong add-on. There's the 1000 minutes US talk from Canada and there's the US roaming Add-ons. Which one did you buy?

If you bought the Roaming add-on, have you enabled roaming on your phone?

Do you still see the $15 in your balance? If so then you need to do the second step of buying the add-on. The only thing your base plan needs to be is active. While active it only lets you receive texts in the US.
